Our Beliefs and Values

At the heart of things, what we believe is simple:

Love God with all our heart, soul and strength and
Love our community as we love ourselves

That’s found in Mark 12:31

If you would like to get into the nitty gritty of what GCI believes, you can read about it in a document called
We Believe.

We also have a youth version and workbook of ‘We Believe’. You can find that here.

In addition to the above, Grace Communion International encourages all congregations to embrace the
Healthy Church vision.

This includes a framework of 3 ‘Avenues‘. The Avenues are our pathways to building long lasting relationships within our community, church and God.

The Avenues are pulled directly from 1 Corinthians 13:13

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

The Love Avenue

We value authentic relationships where the love and truth of Jesus is shared. This is practiced in neighbourhood engagement as we serve and relate to our neighbours by the power of Christ’s love through us.

The Hope Avenue

We value meaningful and transformative worship for persons in our present culture, as we gather as a church, especially in our weekly worship services.

The Faith Avenue

We value environments and events that foster genuine Christian community, promoting relational growth with Jesus and one another. This often occurs in small group settings and other relational events where people gather to strengthen their walk with Jesus and fellow believers.
